COVID Case at NCS

Dear NCS Families, Faculty, and Staff,

Earlier today, the Naples Central School District was notified by the Ontario County Department of Health (DOH) that a staff member working in the High School had tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member was last at work on Friday, January 8, and the individual is currently in isolation in alignment with DOH guidelines.

After completing the contact tracing process, the DOH made the decision to quarantine four additional staff members working in the High School out of an abundance of caution.

Finally, as rates continue to rise in our community, I want to try to find a balance between under and over-communicating information on COVID-19 cases. Beginning next week, we will have a spot on the website that will be updated as soon as we learn about positive cases. However, I will only provide written emails once a week unless there is a unique situation that impacts a significant number of people.

As always, thank you for trusting us with the safety of your child. If there is anything else we can do to support the learning of your son or daughter, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Matt
