We are excited to announce that we are now offering the convenience of online registration for athletics through FamilyID (www.familyid.com).  FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. Naples High School Receives Silver Medal in National H.S. Rankings Naples High School Receives Silver Medal in National H.S. Rankings Naples High School Receives Silver Medal in National H.S. Rankings For the second year in a row, Naples High School has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top high schools in the United States with a Silver Medal designation. The U.S. News Best High Schools list has Naples ranked 143 out of 1,270 high schools in New York State. Nationally, Naples is ranked 1,630 out of more than 28,000 high schools that were the focus of the study. To produce the rankings, U.S. News & World Report used a methodology ranking schools “based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college.” In addition, U.S. News also included graduation rates in its ranking of high schools. NCS Board of Education Adopts Spending Plan NCS Board of Education Adopts Spending Plan At its April 12, 2017 meeting, the Naples Board of Education reviewed and adopted a proposed spending plan for the upcoming school year that aims to balance the district’s values and priorities with available resources. The budget proposal totaling $19.9 million represents a 0.93 percent increase in spending that would result in an estimated tax levy and rate increase of 1.93 percent for district residents—the district’s maximum allowable tax levy limit as calculated under the state’s “tax cap” guidelines. NCS Prom 2017: Starry Night NCS Prom 2017: Starry Night The Naples Jr./Sr. Prom is quickly approaching!  The Prom will be on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 8-11 PM at Hunt Hollow Ski Resort in Naples.  The Prom committee has selected the theme of “Starry Night” for this year’s prom. Students in grades 10-12 and 9th graders, who are the guest of an older student, are invited to the prom.  The maximum age to attend the prom is twenty years old.  All students must be academically eligible to attend the prom.   Tickets cost $40.00 in advance and $50.00 at the door.  Tickets will be available for purchase during lunches, starting the week of April 10th, and at the HS main office.  If you wish to write a check for your son/ daughter’s ticket, please make checks out to the “Naples ...

Summit in the Valley: Creating Climate Connections Summit in the Valley: Creating Climate Connections From 12:00 p.m.—3:00 p.m. on Saturday , May 6, 2017, residents in Naples are invited to the  Summit in the Valley: Creating Climate Connections . The family friendly event will bring together close to twenty different organizations (see list below) to talk about how changes to climate and the environment affect their industries. In addition to the organizations,  Creating Climate Connections  will also involve hands on activities for students, a scavenger hunt, performances by local bands, and a barbecue food truck. Nominate a Student for Do The Right Thing Ontario County Nominate a Student for Do The Right Thing Ontario County In order to recognize local youth who are demonstrating positive choices and exemplary behaviors, a new program has been developed in our area called Do The Right Thing Ontario County. NCS Proposes Capital Improvement Project NCS Proposes Capital Improvement Project Dear Members of the Naples School Community: Our school facilities serve as a source of pride as well as a significant investment by our local community. In order to protect our investment and make sure that our students have safe and appropriate learning spaces, our Board of Education has been exploring the possibility of a capital improvement project for just over a year. During that time, our Facilities Committee has done a line-by-line review of our required Building Condition Survey (BCS), and in the process, identified the most pressing needs of our District. In addition, our Board of Education has also committed to saving for capital improvements through Capital Reserve Funds.
